Hi board game geeks! My name’s Doddy and I’m here to help you ‘Kickstart’ your game collection by navigating the choppy waters of crowdfunding campaigns! I’ll be looking at which games deserve your gold and which you should avoid like an orc encampment! On today’s edition we’ll be looking at Devil May Cry from Steamforged Games.
Welcome to the Bloody Palace!!! Time to dive in and take part in this arena of pure anger and combat. Based on the game Devil May Cry 5, this arena style combat game will pull you into a fast paced, combat system as you and upto 3 others will compete to take on foes to score the highest style rank. You’ve got to kill but, kill with style.
Each Hunter brings their own unique deck to be played as combat unfolds before them. As soon as the big beasties come looking for trouble, dive in with your individual devil trigger attack and claim the kill. If that wasn’t enough, then each wave will get more difficult, each enemy will drop valuable orbs which in turn can be used to level your hunter up to take on the next and more difficult wave. Seems like an even fight to me.
It’s not about how much you kill in this game but, how you kill them. Make each strike perfect, deadly, with the grace and style of a professional dancer using their skills to fight off evil. The good old game of don’t get hit but, murderise everyone.
Pledge £77 plus p&p to get this ‘all in one’ bundle. No stretch goals, no hidden expansions. Just a straight forward game with all the gubbins from the start.
