Hi board game geeks! My name’s Doddy and I’m here to help you ‘kickstart’ your game collection by navigating the choppy waters of crowdfunding campaigns! I’ll be looking at which deserve your gold and which you should avoid like an Orc encampment! On today’s edition we’ll be looking at Honour Bound by Lee Davies.
It’s time to clash with swords and style as you take on the role as samurai warriors in deadly combat. 2 players or teams will take each other on in combat using cards and dice. It gets interesting as well. Each player takes 5 action cards, then rolls dice to decide who goes first. Depending on the cards picked is the amount of times you get to roll.
So for instance player one rolls a 3 and player 2 rolls a 6. Player one is on the defensive and gets to play actions. These actions have number which ‘add’ to the dice rolled number. Once it has gone above their opponents then they get to strike. It becomes a back and forth style of combat.
It’s a very simple and easy game. Quick combat and execution. Kill your opponents shogun to win the game. I would write more but, the game is so straightforward that it doesn’t need someone waffling on about it. It is well worth a pledge and a pickup. I am in love with games that do not mess about with complicated rules. Sometimes you just need to play a game that doesn’t bog you down with rules.
Pledge now for £20 to get a copy of the game P&P varied across the world. The campaign ends on October 1st 2019.
